Gaggia Classic Espresso Machine

Gaggia Classic

Gaggia Classic

Gaggia Espresso Machine is well loved by espresso fans firstly for its commercial grade quality and excellent advanced technology performance packed into a unit measuring 14-1/4 by 8 by 9-1/2 inches.

It has all the benefits, qualities and durability of a commercial espresso machine that you can enjoy in your own home; it’s like having your very own personal “barista”.

Gaggia is a well respected name in the espresso industry so know you can trust this brand.

It has a stainless-steel housing, quick warm-up times and an independent expansion valve.

A feature of it that really makes it an “express espresso maker” is the three-way solenoid valve which provides immediate pressure release from grouphead so that after you pull your espresso the next shot is instantly prepared. Not only that, it is designed to deliver two cups at once since it works with coffee pods.

Among other excellent features are: temperature stability, hot-water dispenser for tea, a frothing wand for crema, and a cup warmer which is absolutely essential if you want to make that perfect cup. Not only does it look very classic and has excellent features but it is also very easy to clean.

Gaggia Classic – Some Things To Consider:

  • It’s a little pricey.
  • You will soon realize that freshly ground beans are best so you would need to get a burr grinder to go with it which can cost you extra money.
  • Does not automatically  pressure the coffee in the portafilter.
  • The wand does not rotate making it difficult to remove a cup of frothed milk.
  • Machine is best for making espressos but takes a while to make coffee since you need for it to run out of steam or cool down first.
  • The written instructions are not very good.

Gaggia Classic – Summary:

Gaggia Espresso Machine is a great investment for “coffee snobs” as it makes great espressos every time plus it looks really good. Some may say that it’s a little too expensive and they could get an espresso machine for a lot less; but it’s make, functions and the quality of its espressos are well worth the price.

It a very well made machine, durable and can last for years with proper care, making it the less expensive choice if you think long-term. If you have used other machines in the past, you can definitely appreciate the value of Gaggia compared to cheaper machines and you can even say that it is comparable to more expensive ones.

This is a great investment for the hardcore coffee fanatics. Make sure that you use freshly ground beans to get that perfect cup, so a burr grinder is also a great investment to go with this.

Customer Quotes:

Overall, this is a well built machine that should last you many decades. Although it seemed expensive when I bought it, it has averaged out to about 6 cents a day to own it, which was well worth the price, and I’ll probably get another few decades out of it.

Had it for a month and I am completely sold! Oh, and I have not been to Starbucks once…no comparison.
I can make myself an espresso shot with quality comparable to what I would get in Florence or Venice.
